DKB stands for “Dark Brown Eyes, ”symbolizing their vibrant character. Their fanbase, affectionately known as BB, translates to “DKB’s Bestie.” Notably, Yuku is the only member of the group who hails from outside South Korea, adding a unique international flair to their lineup.
The group greets their audience with an enthusiastic chant: “Two, three! Move the Crowd! Hello, this is DKB!”

Formed under Brave Entertainment, following the success of Brave Girls (now BB Girls) and Big Star, DKB showcases their skills through hip-hop-influenced performances. Each member contributes creatively as lyricists, choreographers, musicians, and even acrobats, earning them the title of an “all-rounder group.”Their personal involvement in the production process reflects their diverse talents.

DKB Career Highlights
Pre-Debut Excitement
The excitement for DKB’s debut ignited in September 2019 with a teaser Twitter account launched by Brave Entertainment. Fans were treated to promotional clips featuring snippets from songs such as “Move the Crowd” and “Keep Your Head Up, ” along with behind-the-scenes and training footage, building significant anticipation ahead of their official launch.
Official Debut
On February 3, 2020, DKB made their official entrance into the music scene with their mini-album Youth, featuring the title track “Sorry Mama.” The momentum continued with their second mini-album Love released in May, alongside the introduction of their fandom name, BB. July saw their Japanese debut with a localized edition of Youth, followed by the release of their third mini-album Growth in October, reflecting a more mature sound.

In March 2021, DKB’s first full-length album, The Dice is Cast, launched to critical acclaim, further solidifying their artistic identity. Their participation in the Dream Concert that year showcased their increasing popularity, and by October, they embraced the release of their first single album Rollercoaster.
During 2022, DKB highlighted their musical versatility with the releases of their fourth and fifth mini-albums: Rebel in April and Autumn in August. Both albums resonated with fans globally, displaying their emotional range and performance abilities.
Participation in “Peak Time”& Group Restructure
2023 saw DKB gain significant attention as contestants on JTBC’s “Peak Time, ” where they finished fourth. They also made a notable return to the Japanese market, launching their sixth mini-album I Need Love in June, followed by its repackage, We Love You, in August. Furthermore, they contributed the digital single The Wave for Korea’s National Sports Festival.
After the departure of member Teo, DKB reconfigured as eight members and released their seventh mini-album Hip on November 30. This album reflected their ongoing evolution in sound and artistic direction.
In July 2024, DKB released their eighth mini-album Urban Ride, continuing their trajectory in music. However, member Lune announced a hiatus later that month, prioritizing health after stepping back from promotions and the group’s world tour.

Controversies Involving DKB
On October 30, 2023, the entertainment community was shaken when former member Teo was apprehended for driving under the influence, leading to his license being revoked. Consequently, an announcement on November 6 confirmed Teo’s removal from DKB, affecting the group’s dynamics.
