Valve’s latest game, Deadlock, is their latest addition to the hero shooter MOBA genre. It boasts a diverse and captivating roster of characters to choose from. Here’s what we currently know about the game’s skins.
The internet has been abuzz with excitement over Valve’s enigmatic new project. Titled Deadlock, this third-person MOBA incorporates elements from popular games such as Overwatch and League of Legends, introducing beloved heroes to a fresh battlefield.
Despite the game still being in closed beta, there is already a lot of anticipation surrounding the potential direction of the new title by Valve. As a free-to-play game, there is much speculation about the inclusion of cosmetics that will offer players the opportunity to enhance and personalize their preferred characters.
Curious about Deadlock’s skins? Here’s what we currently know.
Deadlock: Are There Skins in the Game?
At present, Deadlock’s collection of skins is non-existent. Only the original design for each character is currently available, much to the disappointment of those who enjoy cosmetic options.
Despite being in closed beta at the moment, the game is still in its early stages, and the developers are working diligently to keep improving it.
This could potentially indicate that cosmetic features, such as skins, are currently being put on hold in order for the developers to focus on finishing and releasing the game for all players.
Will Deadlock Have Skins in the Future?
Although Deadlock currently does not have any skins available, it does not mean that it will not offer them in the future.
It is very probable that there will be skins available in a future update of Deadlock, as Valve’s other titles such as Team Fortress 2, Counterstrike 2, and DOTA 2 have all had a long history of featuring skins.
Valve’s skins typically focus on cosmetic sets, which allows players to mix and match different pieces for their characters, similar to DOTA. This includes the option to use different weapon skins or wear a new shirt.
If Valve does something similar to DOTA, we could see Pocket with a new weapon, or a new briefcase as cosmetics.
Despite the lack of official confirmation from the devs, both players and ourselves are certain that skins will eventually be introduced in Deadlock. We just have to be patient and wait a little longer.
