What Seeing Your Breath Means for Freezing Temps in Phasmophobia

While investigating a ghost in Phasmophobia, you may sometimes notice your breath visible in front of you, which typically indicates that the area is (often) significantly colder than usual. This can indeed be a sign of ‘Freezing Temperatures’ evidence (noted in your Journal), but it’s important not to leap to conclusions, as it can signal other conditions as well.

For example, upon arriving at your haunted venue, the prevailing weather might feature snowfall. In such cases, many accessible areas will be cold by default. Consequently, you might see your breath in multiple rooms of the establishment you explore, so consider that contextual factor when assessing this piece of evidence.

Moreover, even when you identify the ghost’s specific room or area, it will likely be significantly colder than its surroundings, leading you to see your breath while inside it. However, this doesn’t necessarily indicate that the temperature in that room drops below zero.
