Domino’s enthusiasts everywhere can rejoice, as the pizza chain is reintroducing a beloved item that hasn’t appeared on their menus for a whole decade.
That’s right! While it might not be the first dish that comes to mind when you think of Domino’s takeout, their Mac and Cheese was a highly popular menu option before it was unfortunately removed – until now.
Over the years, fans have created numerous threads, with eager customers seeking to replicate the discontinued item at home just like Domino’s used to serve it.
Even former Domino’s employees fondly recalled the lost dish, sharing that “I remember the manager at the time when it was discontinued ordered a couple of extra boxes of the cheddar sauce so employees could still make it for themselves off the menu.”
Well, there’s great news! Domino’s has officially brought back their oven-baked Mac and Cheese at participating locations nationwide.
Customers will finally be able to indulge in this classic once again.
This dish has been revamped since its last appearance in 2012, now offering two distinct varieties, including:
- Five-Cheese Mac & Cheese
- Spicy Buffalo Mac & Cheese
“Domino’s is committed to innovating with purpose and expanding our menu with items that resonate with our customers,” stated Kate Trumbull, Domino’s senior vice president and chief brand officer, in reference to this release.
The product’s description states that it features “penne pasta combined with a rich blend of cheddar, American, Parmesan-Asiago, mozzarella, and Alfredo sauce.” For an additional 99 cents, customers can enhance their Mac and Cheese with toppings like bacon and jalapeños.
This delightful dish is set to hit stores on Monday, September 23, so be sure to keep an eye out if you want to experience this returning favorite.
