Don’t Toy With Me, Miss Nagatoro manga set to end with 3 more chapters

On June 3, 2024, the manga artist of Don’t Toy With Me, Miss Nagatoro announced via X that the final chapter, number 154, would be released, marking the end of his highly influential manga series.

The rom-com manga series, Don’t Toy With Me, Miss Nagatoro, was created by manga artist Nanashi (774). The series was first serialized in Japanese in November 2017 and was later published in English volumes in November 2019. It has since been adapted into an anime, followed by a sequel.

Don’t Toy With Me, Miss Nagatoro Reaches Its Final Chapter

The tweet from the author of the manga series featured the female protagonist, Nagatoro, in a preview from the previous chapter, chapter 151. The tweet’s caption read:

“As announced in the preview, chapter 154 will be the final episode. There’s only a little bit left, but I hope you’ll stay with me until the end!”

“Don’t Toy With Me, Miss Nagatoro”is published bi-weekly. The most recent chapter (151) was released on June 3, 2024, and the manga’s final chapter is scheduled to be released in July. Even if the author takes a one-week break to prepare for the finale of their highly influential series, the final chapter is still expected to be released on time.

The manga series Don’t Toy With Me, Miss Nagatoro was initially released as a webcomic, which is a common practice for modern-day manga series. It was later serialized in the Magazine Pocket on November 1, 2017 and the first volume was published in Japanese on March 9, 2018.

Fortunately, the manga series has also been published in English by Vertical Comics, with the first volume (English) being released on November 19, 2019. The series has a total of 19 volumes in Japanese and 16 volumes in English, all of which can be found on Amazon.

The manga series, with author nanashi (known as 774 in the manga world) as its creator, is the author’s sole SFW (safe-for-work) work and considered to be their most influential piece.

Additionally, on April 11, 2021, an anime adaptation was released by the esteemed animation studio, Telecom Animation Film. This studio is renowned for their work on popular series such as Tower of God and they will also be responsible for animating the upcoming series Blue Box.

“The rom-com Don’t Toy With Me, Miss Nagatoro follows the story of Naoto, also known as “senpai,”as he meets Nagatoro, a junior, and her two friends. This unexpected encounter leads to a drastic change in Naoto’s life. As Nagatoro’s friends depart, she remains and takes her teasing to a new level, causing Naoto to shed tears.”

Nagatoro finds a new source of amusement in constantly pestering senpai, making it her favorite pastime. However, despite her relentless teasing, Naoto appears to be developing a stronger personality and Nagatoro can’t help but admire his masculine qualities. Will their playful banter ultimately lead to an unexpected outcome?
