The International, widely recognized as TI in the Dota 2 community, stands out as one of the most important annual esports events. Following Team Liquid’s remarkable victory at TI 2024, another team has claimed the coveted Aegis.

As the most prestigious championship in Dota 2, The International showcases enormous prize pools and exceptional event production, solidifying its status as the pinnacle of Dota 2 esports.

Throughout the years, numerous teams have aimed to conquer the Aegis of Champions. However, the tournament is highly competitive, making it uncommon for the favorites to achieve victory.

Tundra Esports celebrated their 2022 win. Player 33 would go on to win with Team Liquid two years later.

OG’s rosters from 2018 and 2019 were the only teams to secure multiple TI titles until Team Liquid and Team Spirit each reclaimed the Aegis for a second time. Team Liquid notably demonstrated their strength by defeating Gaimin Gladiators 3-0 in the finals without losing a single match.

TI11 was the first International to take place in the Southeast Asian region.
