Recently returning from a break, controversial streamer Dr Disrespect claims to be “back from vacation”following his sudden and indefinite hiatus. This came after he admitted to being banned on Twitch due to sending inappropriate direct messages to a minor.
Former Twitch employees broke their silence in June 2024 regarding Dr Disrespect’s ban from the platform, claiming that he had been sending direct messages to individuals under the age of 18.
Guy Beahm, also known as Doc, eventually admitted to the accusations in a post that has since been removed from X, but not before facing consequences such as being dropped by several companies, including his own game development studio.
In his post, Beahm stated that he would soon resume streaming after a long vacation spent with his family. However, it seems that gaming might not be his top priority upon his return.
On September 3, Doc unexpectedly shared a post on social media, making a random comment: “Is anyone still watching video game streams? How boring.”

During the conversation, a viewer inquired about Doc’s activities, prompting the streamer to reply: “Just enjoying the breeze in the Lambo…just got back from La Vacacion.”

Moreover, he responded to HobbertEdits, his previous editor, who declared his departure from the Dr Disrespect brand after being a part of it for six years.
Upon hearing the announcement, Beahm, also known as DrDisrespect, responded with nonchalance, despite the fact that he was now without an editor for his streams. This was especially surprising considering his upcoming return to streaming. However, if he no longer intends to game during his streams, this issue may not be as pressing.

Despite Dr Disrespect’s return, there is still no news on where he will choose to stream, or if he will pursue a different type of content creation. Following his confession, YouTube completely demonetized his channel, leaving him with no means of earning income on the platform.
On the other hand, Kick may be his most promising option as the site’s staff have not completely disregarded the possibility of him joining the site. However, now that the creator has returned from his vacation, we may gain further insight in the upcoming weeks.
