Dr Disrespect Confident About Returning to Midnight Society: “This is My Studio”

Dr Disrespect claims that Midnight Society is “still his studio” despite the company’s decision to part ways with the streamer after he allegedly sent inappropriate DMs to a minor.

The gaming community was thrown into chaos in June when former Twitch employees revealed the reasons behind Dr Disrespect’s, real name Guy Beahm, permanent ban from the platform.

According to former staff members, Doc had sent sexual messages to an underage individual, an accusation Beahm later acknowledged in a now-deleted tweet.

Although Dr Disrespect has returned to streaming and denied ever engaging in any inappropriate messaging with the individual, even insisting that Twitch was behind his ban, the fallout from the incident had already taken its toll.

Many organizations distanced themselves from Dr Disrespect due to the allegations, including his own gaming studio, Midnight Society, following a meeting between the studio’s leaders and the streamer.

Interestingly, after the events unfolded, Beahm did not remove Midnight Society from his X bio. This prompted a viewer to question him about the studio during a recent broadcast of Black Myth: Wukong.

“It’s the two-time’s studio. That’s the two-time’s game. That’s my vision for a game,” he stated. “We concepted it out, the original concept, years ago. We created the studio with a few other individuals. We grew the team.”

Dr Disrespect expresses a belief that he’ll eventually return to the studio, despite all that has transpired.

“I just got a feeling. Just give it a little bit more time. We’ll be right back in it. We’ll be right back in it, champs. Just give us some time. Not a problem.”

Since parting ways with Doc, Midnight Society has faced challenges and has had to lay off some members of its development team. However, the studio is optimistic about releasing its first game, DEADROP, in 2025.

Midnight Society co-founder Robert Bowling further downplayed Dr Disrespect’s involvement, stating that he was primarily an influencer “to bring eyeballs” to the game.

In August, Creative Director Quinn DelHoyo revealed that Dr Disrespect was one of four individuals who mutually agreed it was best for him to depart from the studio to “do the things that he needs to do to take care of himself.”
