Dr Disrespect doubles down in first stream since viral Twitch accusations

During his first stream since a former Twitch employee made shocking allegations about the reason behind his permanent ban from the platform, Dr Disrespect maintained his innocence.

In the year 2020, Twitch made the decision to permanently ban Dr Disrespect, creating one of the biggest streaming mysteries to date.

Despite both parties denying any wrongdoing and taking the matter to court, the reason behind Twitch’s ban of the two-time remained unknown. However, in June 2024, an ex-Twitch employee came forward and claimed that the two-time had sent inappropriate direct messages to a minor and had planned to meet up with them at TwitchCon.

According to another former employee who spoke with The Verge, there was a “significant”time gap between the messages being sent and Twitch taking action, further supporting the rumor.

Despite Doc defending himself against the accusations and stating that he had not done anything illegal, all attention was focused on his June 24 stream for Elden Ring on YouTube, marking his return to the platform following the allegations. Additionally, he confirmed that he was still receiving payment from Twitch under his contract.

“I won’t be elaborating on this weekend any further, as I have already expressed my thoughts. This person does not matter to me. That’s all there is to it,”he stated firmly. “While I am grateful for the donations and messages, I prefer to jump right into action.”

The two-time has implied that his legal agreement with Twitch has made it challenging to openly discuss the situation. This could be the reason why he has chosen to refrain from further discussing it.

Currently, Doc is continuing with his usual routine and streaming the Elden Ring’s Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. Nevertheless, considering the gravity of the accusations, it is probable that we will hear more about them in the future.
