Dr Disrespect has found himself embroiled in controversy following allegations made against him. However, the streamer has since released a statement denying any wrongdoing and stating that his Twitch ban has been resolved.
An ex-Twitch employee alleged that a streamer was suspended for sending inappropriate messages to a minor on the platform, and there is widespread speculation that the streamer in question is Dr Disrespect.
He has addressed the situation since the allegations surfaced, specifically in response to Jake Lucky’s tweet. On June 21, just after this information was brought to light, he shared his thoughts.
“Jake, I understand that this is a heated topic, but it has already been resolved. No wrongdoing was admitted and the entire contract was paid out.”
The Doc has furthered his stance by issuing a personal statement asserting his innocence and stating that he has resolved his dispute with Twitch.
“Although I am bound by legal obligations as a result of the settlement with Twitch, I feel the need to speak my truth on the internet. I want to clarify that no wrongdoing was found and the matter has been settled. I was compensated for any issues that arose.”
In June 2020, Dr Disrespect filed a lawsuit against Twitch and the case was officially resolved in March 2022. As a result, he received a settlement and both parties stated that there was no evidence of wrongdoing.

Nevertheless, Dr Disrespect made it clear that he has no intention of returning to Twitch, a stance that remains unchanged since his permanent ban.
Despite the accusations made against the streamer, the team working on Deadrop, a game co-founded by Dr Disrespect, has been impacted.
“My priority is to ensure that the developers I hire do not have to worry about their job security due to any controversies surrounding one of our founders,”stated Midnight Society Studio Head Robert Bowling.
Despite working with him, Bowling maintains that he was not aware of the reason behind Dr Disrespect’s ban and acknowledged the outcome of the lawsuit as the primary factor.
“‘I don’t know’ was not an acceptable response to me, which led me to accept the outcome of the lawsuit. After the settlement was finalized and kept confidential, the only information available to me was the public statement of ‘No wrongdoing acknowledged’ by both parties.”
Dr. Disrespect intends to resume streaming on Monday, June 24. It remains uncertain if he will acknowledge the issue during his live broadcast.
