Dr. Stone Season 4 Release Date Set for 2025: What You Need to Know

Popular sci-fi anime Dr. Stone is gearing up for the highly anticipated release of its fourth and final season, so here’s what you need to know.

Dr. Stone is a renowned Shonen manga and anime series that follows Senku in a post-apocalyptic world where civilization has nearly vanished. The young prodigy is on a mission to restore humanity to its former glory from over 3000 years ago. The third season aired in two split cours, with each consisting of 11 gripping episodes.

The plot centers around Senku and his team as they embark on a new adventure on an island where they uncover the secrets behind the petrification phenomenon. Season 3 Part 2 concludes with a cliffhanger, leaving Senku determined to revive as many people as possible to aid in his ambitious space program.

During these events, Ukyo discusses Dunbar’s number, a theory suggesting that groups function best when they have fewer than 150 members. Increasing the number of individuals with varying perspectives can lead to disputes and potential group collapse. Therefore, while Senku’s aspiration to revive more people is commendable, it indeed presents notable challenges.

Nevertheless, this young scientist is not one to back down from adversity; he devises a plan to venture to the United States in search of sweetcorn, a crucial food source for producing thousands of gallons of revival fluid. The season culminates with Senku and his crew poised to set sail for America.

TMS Studio has confirmed that Dr. Stone Season 4 will commence broadcasting in 2025. This season will be split into three parts, in contrast to the previous season, which consisted of only two parts.

Expect more details to be revealed during Jump Festa 2025, scheduled for December 21 and 22, 2024. Despite the excitement, many fans have expressed dissatisfaction over the announcement, with only a handful showing support for the studio’s decision.

One fan voiced, “3 parts??? Just release them together. I am ready to wait.”

“They need to stop this ‘final season split into parts’ BS already! Release the whole thing at once or don’t release any of it all,” added another.

Another fan complained, “I’m so sick of being forced to watch things in parts nowadays.”

However, one supporter countered, “If they release them together you’re going to have to wait more; releasing them in parts is specifically done so you don’t have to wait as long for the season to start (and so the production isn’t just awful in general lol). Be thankful it’s releasing in 3 parts.”
