In Dragon Age: The Veilguard, players encounter a variety of challenges, including intricate puzzles that unlock valuable treasures. One such puzzle, the Lighthouse Statue puzzle, presents a compelling early-game challenge. Though the rewards may seem modest later on, they are quite advantageous for players in the beginning stages of the game. This guide will walk you through the location of the Lighthouse Statue puzzle and provide step-by-step instructions on solving it.
Locating the Lighthouse Statue Puzzle
To initiate the statue puzzle, you must first locate a statue adorned with a sticky note at its base. This statue is situated on the northern side of Level 2 in the Lighthouse area, marked by a prominent “C” symbol on your map. Exit from the Library section, then navigate to the Courtyard.
Carefully maneuver around a blocked door hidden by vines to discover the statue with the note, which reads: “To enter the Library Passage, three pairings must meet face-to-face.” This clue indicates that you need to ensure three sets of Solas and Mythal statues are aligned correctly, resulting in a total of six statues needing to be oriented towards each other.
First Pair of Lighthouse Statues
The first pair of statues is conveniently located where you found the sticky note. Each statue is equipped with a lever that allows the Rook to interact and rotate them. Start by positioning the first statue to face east, then proceed to the second one visible from a distance.
Adjust the second statue to face west so that the two lighthouse statues are facing each other. Upon successful alignment, green orbs will manifest from each statue, indicating you’ve completed this step. These orbs serve merely as confirmation, and there’s no need to follow their path; your focus should now shift to the next pair of statues.
Second Pair of Lighthouse Statues
To find the second pair, head to the southern part of the map, adjacent to the Dining Hall. These two statues also need to face each other, but you must locate them first.
Rather than entering the Dining Hall, look to your left for a staircase leading to the Library’s main entrance. Take the left staircase to reach the first statue, which you should rotate to face east.
The second statue is situated on the far east side, clearly visible from a distance. Approach this statue and rotate it to face west, ensuring both statues are aligned. Another green orb will appear, signaling the completion of the second Lighthouse Statue pair puzzle.
Third Pair of Lighthouse Statues
The third set of statues is conveniently close to the previous pair. Ascend the staircases to access the center of this floor, where you will find two statues beside a chest.
Your task is simple: rotate these two statues to face each other. They are positioned closely, making this task straightforward. After aligning the third pair, expect a comment from the Rook indicating that something has changed. Your final task is to acquire the treasure located inside the Library.
Rewards for Completing the Lighthouse Statue Puzzle
Upon entering the Library, look for a circular door featuring three lights positioned around it, located directly opposite the Library table. Initially, these lights are inactive. However, solving the statue puzzle activates them, unlocking the previously secured door.
Although the rewards within this location may not be grand compared to later finds, they are nonetheless valuable for early game progression. You can collect the following items by exploring the secret room:
- Memories of a Duet: Codex entry found on the piano in the center of the room.
- 20 Flawless Crystals.
- 400 to 600 Gold.
