Dragon Ball DAIMA: New Trailer and Updated Visual for October 2024 Premiere

On Wednesday, September 4, 2024, the official Dragon Ball website released the latest main trailer and updated key visual for the highly anticipated Dragon Ball DAIMA anime. Along with this exciting reveal, the voice cast for several characters was also announced, as well as a special collaboration for the opening theme song.

The highly anticipated premiere of the Dragon Ball DAIMA anime is scheduled for Friday, October 11, 2024. The animated series was originally produced to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the manga. It was overseen by the franchise’s creator, Akira Toriyama, who was responsible for the plot, world-building, and character development. Tragically, he passed away in March 2024, leaving behind a legacy that continues to captivate fans.

On Wednesday, September 4, 2024, Dragon Ball DAIMA revealed a new visual that showcased updates. Although Goku (mini), Supreme Kai (mini), and Glorio remained unchanged, the anime finally exposed the true identity of the Masked Majin, who was revealed to be named Panzy.

The updated key visual features two characters peering over at Goku and his companions from the edge of the visual. One of the characters is confirmed to be Gomah, but the identity of the other character remains unknown.

The visual also differs in terms of its catchphrase, with the first one proclaiming “Welcome to the Great Adventure!”and the new one declaring “Welcome to the Demon Realm!!”This revelation confirms that the series will be set in the “Demon Realm.”

The first episode of Dragon Ball DAIMA will be aired on Friday, October 11, at 11:40 PM JST.

The anime’s primary trailer opens with a cryptic incantation, followed by a surprising transformation of Goku and his friends into children. This leads to an exhilarating journey for mini Goku and Supreme Kai in the Demon Realm, accompanied by new companions Panzy and Glorio, in hopes of reversing the unusual change.

The recently released trailer also introduced several previously unseen characters, including a man resembling Supreme Kai and a woman who appears to be plotting against the world with a cunning smile.

The anime also gave viewers a sneak peek of the opening theme song for Dragon Ball DAIMA, titled “Jaka Jaan,”which is a collaboration between Grammy Award-winning artist Zedd, lyricist Yukinojo Mori, and vocalists C&K. Zedd composed the music, while Yukinojo Mori wrote the lyrics and C&K lent their vocals.

The upcoming “Dragon Ball Daimatsuri”event at Tokyo Big Sight on Sunday, October 6, 2024 will feature new additions to the voice cast. Yumiko Kobayashi will be voicing Supreme Kai (mini), Koki Uchiyama will be voicing Glorio, and Fairouz Ai will be voicing Panzy. Fans can look forward to seeing these three talented voice actors at a special stage event during the festival.
