Dragon Ball Daima’s Place in the Timeline and Connection to Super Reportedly Revealed

According to an insider who initially leaked information about the upcoming anime, the placement of Dragon Ball Daima in the DB timeline and its connection to Super have been revealed.

Ever since its announcement, Dragon Ball Daima has been shrouded in mystery, leaving fans eager to know when it would be set in the series.

The latest installment, premiering on October 11, showcases Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, and their comrades transformed into child forms by an unfamiliar enemy. Consequently, they embark on a journey to rectify the situation.

A major concern for many is the placement of Daima in the series’ timeline. Despite Dragon Ball Super being absent from television since 2018, the franchise has persisted with the release of two movies, Broly and Super Hero. Furthermore, the manga has picked up where the anime concluded, keeping the story alive.

Insider Geekdom101, who was the first to reveal information about Daima before the anime was officially announced, has now disclosed further details about the setting of the upcoming series.

The segment starts at 4:30.

According to Geekdom, Dragon Ball Daima is considered a “follow-up”to the Majin Buu arc and occurs before the DBZ OVA Dragon Ball: The Return of Son Goku and Friends, as well as the film Battle of Gods.

According to Geekdom, Daima is not a part of a separate universe, but is instead considered canon to the main Dragon Ball storyline. This is due to its connection to Dragon Ball Z as a sequel and its eventual incorporation into the Super series.

“According to him, the characters and realms that are featured in Dragon Ball Daima will make a reappearance in a future story arc of Dragon Ball.”

Despite not being certain which medium the story arc will be featured in – the manga, anime, or a movie – the author is confident that the characters will make a comeback in a significant storyline in the future.

Despite Akira Toriyama’s passing, it was said that this agreement was made beforehand and there is a chance that it may have been altered. Nevertheless, Geekdom emphasized that the intention remains for Daima to connect with the broader Dragon Ball world.

Not only will Daima be releasing, but Dragon Ball enthusiasts can also look forward to many other exciting things this October. Along with the premiere of the new anime, the popular Budokai series will be making a comeback with Sparking Zero, which is expected to be one of the largest DB games to date.
