Dragon Ball Project: Multi – Everything we know

A new free-to-play Dragon Ball game has been announced, featuring Goku and his friends in the world of MOBA.

In addition to the release of Dragon Ball Sparking Zero, Dragon Ball fans have even more to look forward to as the beloved franchise ventures into the MOBA genre with Dragon Ball Project: Multi.

If you’ve ever dreamed of playing as your favorite Saiyan in a MOBA game similar to League of Legends, Dota 2, or Smite, then you’re in for a treat.

Release Date for Dragon Ball Project: Multi

Currently, Multi does not have a designated release date.

We have confirmed dates for the beta version of the game, which will be accessible in specific regions starting from August 20, 2024.

Platforms

According to the beta information, it has been confirmed that Dragon Ball Project: Multi will be available on both PC through Steam and on Mobile devices.

At the moment, there have been no announcements about the game being available on other platforms. However, if there are any updates about the game being released on consoles or other devices in the future, we will make sure to keep this page updated.

Dragon Ball Project: Multi Trailer

The initial trailer for Multi was posted on Bandai Namco’s YouTube channel on August 8, 2024.

This preview features the 4v4 gameplay and a selection of playable characters, such as Goku, Vegeta, Future Trunks, and Android 18.

In the footage, Goku can be observed powering up into Super Saiyan form, suggesting that transformations will play a significant role in gameplay.

It seems that collecting Dragon Balls scattered throughout the map will be crucial for achieving victory.

Regional Beta Test

The Multi Regional Beta test will be accessible through both Steam and Mobile devices in the following regions:

  • Canada
  • France
  • Germany (iOS and Android only)
  • Japan
  • South Korea (iOS and Android only)
  • Taiwan
  • United Kingdom
  • United States

The test will be available for players to enjoy on the following dates:

  • August 20, 2024, 6 AM – September 3, 2024, 5:59 AM (UTC)
  • August 19, 2024, 11 PM – September 2, 2024, 10:59 PM (PDT)

To access the beta, simply download it from the App Store, Google Play Store, or Steam.

Users on Steam must request access, as mentioned on the official website at https://dbpm.bn-ent.net. It is important to note that this process may take some time.

Multi Gameplay

Multi is a 4v4 MOBA.

Dragon Ball Project: Multi is a MOBA game with a 4v4 format, offering intense battles that require teamwork.

It is important to remember that every hero has a specific role to fulfill, which should be taken into consideration when selecting your character. The main roles are:

  • Damage – simple but effective and aggressive heroes
  • Tank – persistent fighters who stay on the battlefield indefinitely
  • Technical – heroes who excel in supporting their allies and disrupting enemies

As the rounds continue and the battle intensifies, your hero will strengthen, making it easier to defeat bosses and enemies.

In Multi, customization will continue to be a significant factor as players can outfit their characters with one-of-a-kind skins and animations, such as entrances and special finishers.

A handful of characters can be seen in Multi’s first trailer.

Although Bandai Namco has yet to confirm the complete roster for Multi, the first trailer suggests that the following heroes will be available for play:

  • Goku
  • Vegeta
  • Future Trunks
  • Krillin
  • Android 18
  • Small
  • Strategic
  • Buu Majin

In addition, the trailer gives us a brief glimpse of Kid Gohan, leading us to anticipate his inclusion as a playable character.

Our current knowledge of Dragon Ball Project: Multi is limited to this extent.
