Dragon Ball robbed Vegeta of his greatest feat because animators lazed off

In the world of Dragon Ball, every character, including Vegeta the Saiyan Prince, strives to increase their strength as it is crucial for survival. Vegeta’s journey is fraught with challenging battles and fierce rivalry, particularly with his counterpart, Goku. He never stops pushing himself to reach the pinnacle of power, although many fans have expressed their opinions on Dragon Ball GT.

Despite the fact that the animators may have found it challenging, many believe that Vegeta missed a pivotal opportunity. This choice has sparked much debate and left fans wondering about what could have been for Vegeta.

Despite being able to transform into other powerful forms, Vegeta struggles to attain the Super Saiyan 3 (SSJ3) form in Dragon Ball. This is because the form is temporary and drains the user’s energy, making it less practical compared to other forms such as Super Saiyan God and Super Saiyan Blue.

SSJ3 is an elevated state of Super Saiyan that greatly alters a character’s physical features. It goes beyond simply changing hair color; the individual’s hair extends past their waist, their eyebrows vanish, their brow ridge becomes more pronounced, and their body gains more mass compared to Super Saiyan 2.

Despite being the first to use this form during his fight with Buu, Goku rarely utilized it due to its draining effect on the user’s energy. Whether alive or dead, Goku was unable to sustain this form for extended periods of time.

Despite fans arguing that this crowning achievement was cut short for Vegeta, we are given only a brief glimpse of his new formidable state before he quickly fuses with Goku to become Gogeta. This ultimately limits our time with Super Saiyan 3 Vegeta alone.

Despite possessing the strongest roots in Saiyan culture and a form that flawlessly combines fundamental elements of his heritage with the legendary Super Saiyan transformation, this significant stage in Vegeta’s progression was brief.

Despite being a major character in the Dragon Ball series, Vegeta never transformed into Super Saiyan 3, which was noticed by fans. While some speculate that this was a deliberate choice by the writers, others believe it was due to the difficulty of drawing Vegeta in this particular form.

“The weakness is that it’s too difficult to draw and animator don’t want to deal with it,”one fan @EthanW56 ccommented under @PblGaming’s YouTube video.

Super Saiyan 3 stands out in appearance compared to the other forms. Vegeta’s hair would become significantly larger and unruly, with the absence of his eyebrows. Many fans argue that the intricate movement of the additional hair would be a challenging task to illustrate. Moreover, the lack of eyebrows makes it harder to convey Vegeta’s emotions without his typical facial expressions.

Despite these challenges, there is a belief among certain fans that the creators of the show chose to skip Super Saiyan 3 for Vegeta and go directly from Super Saiyan 2 to Super Saiyan 4. However, this is merely speculation by fans as there has been no confirmation from the show’s creators.

“The animators didnt want to animate him in ssj3 is the answer lol,”mentioned another YouTube user @Anthony33431

Occasionally, narratives may be altered due to the difficulty of illustrating certain aspects. For example, a fan with the username @longlivetheblackmamba2-8-24 believes that Vegeta never achieved Super Saiyan 3 because it was too challenging to depict him in that form.

“Tobirama got tired of drawing ssj3 In universe: he simply never got a chance I’d say.”

Ultimately, Vegeta’s brief attempt at achieving Super Saiyan 3 serves as a reminder of what could have been in Dragon Ball history. It highlights the delicate balance that creators must maintain between pushing the boundaries of their storytelling and the practical considerations involved in bringing these ideas to fruition.

Fans are left to ponder the untapped potential of Super Saiyan 3 Vegeta, imagining a world where the constraints of production did not limit the development of a character’s storyline.
