Complete List of Classes in Dragon’s Dogma 2

Thief

The Rogue is a relatively welcoming class for new players, offering speed and immense talent for dodging attacks. They use rapid attacks to overwhelm enemies, with a sharp dagger in each hand.

Warrior

Wielding sword and shield with skill, the Warrior is perhaps the easiest class to learn. That said, she can be a little tricky early in the game against tough opponents. However, its basic fighting style is easy to learn and it deals significant damage.

Mage

The Mage certainly has the highest damage potential of all four base classes. Unfortunately, he also has a very low hit point count and the weakest armor in the game. Casting spells also takes time and leaves the spellcaster open to enemy attacks.

Archer

As the name suggests, the Archer is best at range, picking off enemies as he goes. This is actually a very useful class against some large enemies that can be difficult to fight up close. Having a strong main pawn is very useful when playing an Archer.

Advanced Class: Champion

The Champion has a solid constitution, favoring melee combat thanks to his ability to absorb enemy responses. An expert in heavy weaponry, he handles imposing weapons such as two-handed swords and hammers with ease. However, it is weak against aerial enemies and extremely slow to attack, which can leave the class vulnerable.

Advanced Class: Knight-Mage

The Knight-Mage is undoubtedly the most balanced class, advanced or not. The class uses melee combat and magic equally to create a powerful option that decimates enemies quickly. She is effective at both close and mid range, and she has a unique ability to slow enemies that is extremely useful in group combat situations.

Advanced Class: Archer-Mage

The Archer-Mage takes all the principles of the basic Archer class and adds some nice extra damage. He raises the level of ranged combat to new heights with his enchanted arrows. This class stands out not only for its ability to deal damage and heal, but also for its exceptional ability to support its comrades in arms. Tough Pawns are again advised here, but Archer-Mage is a fun and rewarding class for new and experienced players.

Advanced Class: Wizard

The Wizard is similar to the Mage in many ways. He uses ranged magical attacks to significant effect and remains relatively easy to kill if used incorrectly. That said, the Sorcerer has more impressive crowd control and a greater range of damage abilities. This is a valuable class for those looking to improve their magical power.

Advanced Class: Illusionist

The Illusionist is absolutely unique in terms of gameplay. They are not particularly good at dealing damage and are easily overwhelmed. However, the skills they offer can be both extremely useful and incredibly fun. Their various abilities sow confusion and cause enemies to fight among themselves, giving your Pawns plenty of time to clean up.

Advanced Class: Conqueror

Conquerors are designed to be the most versatile of all classes. They can use any type of weapon and are effective in combat, arguably offering a formidable choice for players who aren’t particularly sure of the direction they want to take their character. He’s a bit weaker in each area than more specialized classes, but the Conqueror’s balanced nature makes him a quality choice.
