Dragon’s Dogma 2 offers different classes, divided into various Vocations. Game director Hideaki Itsuno shared his thoughts on the best classes for newbies.
Dragon’s Dogma 2 has ten distinct classes, segmented into three different Vocations. Importantly, each of these classes has unique skills and abilities, allowing players to create their characters based on the play style they prefer to adopt.
While veterans of the RPG genre will have no problem starting with any class of their choice, Hideaki Itsuno shared his thoughts on which classes are best suited for beginners in Dragon’s Dogma 2.
In an interview with GamesRadar, he suggested that players choose their classes based on the games they play most often.
It’s important that you go into battle with the correct party setup.
To elaborate on this example, he added: “If you are an FPS or third-person shooter player and you have good aim, then Archers might be a good choice because the more precise you can aim.”
However, he also indicated that players were free to choose which class they wanted to play as. Itsuno added: “If you are looking for a more balanced build, especially early in Dragon’s Dogma 2 if you are new to the series, then I would recommend going with the Fighter.”
The game director also mentioned that your team setup is important, because while some teams are able to take down bosses easily, they can still get killed by a pack of wolves.
When talking about the different Vocations, Itsuno shared his team setup. He said: “I will have my three pawns as Wizards, and for the Arisen, I will use the Warrior class which allows you to take various abilities from all different Vocations.”
Dragon’s Dogma 2 is finally available after a 12-year wait, and players are eager to dive into the game and try out the different classes and Vocations for themselves.
