Dragon’s Dogma 2: How to Change the Appearance of Your Insurgent & Main Pawn

Dragon’s Dogma 2 has plenty of options for character creation, but how do you change your appearance if you’re no longer happy with the look of your Insurgent or Lead Pawn?

Those who have tried Dragon’s Dogma 2’s character creator know how much decision paralysis the game can cause. This is because there are countless options for shaping your Insurgent and Main Pawn, whether human or leonine.

If you’re unhappy with the way your character looks, you can also create a new one, but this is easier said than done. In fact, Dragon’s Dogma 2 requires you to delete your save file to start from scratch.

However, there are ways to modify your existing character, but you will need to unlock the option to be able to do so.

How to Change Appearance in Dragon’s Dogma 2

To change the appearance of your character, you must go to a Hair Salon. They are marked on the map by a pair of scissors. You will find them in Vernwroth and Bakbattahl.

In Hair Salons, you can change a character’s hairstyle, makeup, and markings/tattoos. All of this costs gold, so make sure you have some cash in your pocket before heading to a Hair Salon.

Also, you can completely change a character’s appearance by bringing the book The Art of Transfiguration to a Barber Shop. This will allow you to select the “Change Appearance” option and completely modify your Insurgent and Main Pawn.

How to get the Art of Transfiguration book in Dragon’s Dogma 2

You can purchase the Art of Transfiguration by going to Vermund, in the Vernworth trading district. There you can purchase the Art of Transfiguration for 500 RC from a merchant called Neomith.

Remember that Neomith only has limited copies of the Art of Transfiguration. Additionally, each book can only be used once. Changing the appearance of your Insurgent or Main Pawn multiple times is possible, but you will need additional copies of the Art of Transfiguration.

Please note that you can also get the book The Art of Metamorphosis for €1.99 on the game’s seller sites. (Steam, Xbox, Playstation)
