Drama Topicality for Third Week of May: Lovely Runner Ranked #1 for 3 Consecutive Weeks, The Atypical Family Ranked #2

Based on the latest Good Data Corporation survey for the third week of May, which assesses the topicality of TV-OTT dramas, tvN’s “Lovely Runner”has maintained its top position for three consecutive weeks, according to the K-content online competitiveness analysis agency.

Despite the drama’s halt in its upward trend, it still maintains dominance in four categories that are crucial for staying current: news, VON (Voice Of Netizen), video, and social media.

Compared to the previous week, JTBC’s “The Atypical Family”saw a 12.8% increase in topicality, securing second place.

Netflix’s latest production, “The 8 Show,”received third place overall and second place in the VON (Voice Of Netizen) category. The response from netizens has been varied and intricate, with a range of evaluations for the work.

The fourth and fifth rankings were claimed by tvN’s “The Midnight Romance in Hagwon”and MBC’s “Chief Detective 1958”, in that order. Both shows gained more attention compared to the previous week. It is worth mentioning that “Chief Detective 1958″ended with a 19.5% rise in viewership.

Disney+’s “Uncle Samsik” came in sixth place, while JTBC’s “Frankly Speaking” and KBS2’s “Beauty and Mr. Romantic” took the seventh and eighth spots, respectively. The drama “The Escape of the Seven: Resurrection” saw a 52.3% increase in topicality, securing the ninth spot. Finally, ENA’s “Crash” landed in the tenth spot.

The top two spots for drama cast topicality were consistently held by Byeon Woo-seok and Kim Hye-yoon from “Lovely Runner” for three weeks in a row. Following closely behind were Chun Woo-hee from “The Atypical Family” , Jung Ryeo-won from “The Midnight Romance in Hagwon” , and Jang Ki-yong from “The Atypical Family” occupying positions three to five.

Wi Ha-joon from “The Midnight Romance in Hagwon”, Song Geon-hee from “Lovely Runner”, Go Kyung-pyo from “Frankly Speaking”, Lee Je-hoon from “Chief Detective 1958”, and Song Kang-ho from “Uncle Samsik”ranked sixth through tenth, respectively.
