Dream, Alinity & more Roast Elon Musk For Telling Twitch Streamers To Switch To X

After Elon Musk urged Twitch streamers to switch to X, Dream, Alinity, Ludwig, and other popular content creators wasted no time in mocking him.

Ever since acquiring the platform, Elon Musk has been regularly streaming on X, previously known as Twitter. His streams of Diablo 4, in particular, have been immensely popular, with millions of viewers tuning in to watch him play the game.

On May 20, Musk attempted to generate excitement around the platform’s live streaming capabilities and encourage more creators to give it a try. However, his criticism of Twitch during this effort sparked backlash.

Despite his efforts to make light of Twitch’s challenges with monitoring explicit content on their platform, his post featured a Simpsons meme of Smithers and Mr. Burns approaching a building with the Twitch logo, accompanied by the caption “maybe there are some video game streams in here.”However, upon closer inspection, the building turned out to be a strip club, amplifying the joke and poking fun at Twitch’s ongoing battle with regulating hot tub streams and other mature content on their site.

Nonetheless, the meme was swiftly ridiculed by both streamers and X users due to the high volume of inappropriate content that is disseminated on the social media platform via bots.

Dream, a popular YouTuber, was among the first to ridicule Elon by responding with “N**ES IN BIO,”using numerous bot accounts as evidence.

Dream instantly roasted Elon Musk over adult content on X.

Hasan was also bothered by Musk’s mention of Twitch, where he referenced the frequent bot response that notifies users of adult content in their biography.

Alinity playfully responded by sharing a video from her Twitch stream in which she danced against a wall. She jokingly claimed it to be the best gameplay on Twitch, linking to the video on her Twitter page.

Twitch streamer Cohh Carnage was straightforward in his disapproval of Musk’s website, stating: “Elon is discussing sexual content on a platform that he believes should not have it. The irony is that he is not addressing the issue on Twitter.”

“Ludwig chimed in, calling the idea that streaming on Twitter would result in less sexual content as insane.”

At the same time, MoistCr1TiKaL responded by calling Musk a “goober,”playfully teasing that the X owner has not interacted with any replies on a tweet for the past six months.

While not everyone was opposed to Musk’s encouragement for streamers to transition to X, Twitch’s AmericanDadLive was open to testing it out under certain conditions.

He stated, “I fully support the monetization of streams, elimination of bots, and improvement of discoverability. Count me in.”

Fitness influencer Knut showed interest in Elon’s post by retweeting the meme and responding with the word “Based.”

It appears that X may need to address its bot issue in order to prevent more streamers from accepting the offer.

In January, Elon announced his intentions to compete with Twitch by implementing bold strategies for monetization, aiming to allow creators to keep the entirety of their ad revenue from broadcasts.

In addition to Twitch, Musk has expressed interest in having X compete with other websites. He has previously proposed it as a potential alternative to YouTube and even convinced Mr Beast to post some of his previous videos on the platform to compare its revenue potential against YouTube’s monetization.
