Dunkin’ has introduced its mischievous Spider Donut this October, and it has quickly gained notoriety across social media platforms.
This unique treat features a base of plain donut coated in vibrant purple icing, topped with a Chocolate Glazed Munchkin at its center. The finishing touches include chocolate drizzle to mimic spider legs and white drizzle for the eyes.
Although the Spider Donut is a seasonal offering, its playful exploits online have made a significant impact, taking over Dunkin’s official social media channels.
The Spider Donut has been known to utilize spooky messaging to attract customers. One notable post from Dunkin’ reads, “If you aren’t afraid of spiders… you’re gonna be. I’m right behind you.”
This playful donut has even teased fans by stating, “They say you eat 20 spiders in your sleep, time to get even… I will take on every one of you.”
In addition to its playful demeanor, the donut has exhibited a cheeky personality. One Instagram post quipped, “Ya girl said I’m not so itsy bitsy,” and another added, “I’ve got the long legs, all I need is the daddy.”
However, the Spider Donut’s playful reign may be nearing its conclusion, as it playfully leaked the 2024 Dunkin’ Holiday Menu in exchange for a single “like”on an Instagram post.
Dunkin’ subsequently issued a statement clarifying that “Spidey D’s” access would now be restricted. “While some of his antics were quite amusing, Spidey D crossed a line this morning by disclosing our secret holiday menu for a mere like,” they explained. “Consequently, we’ve revoked his access rights and instituted new protocols to prevent future disruptions.”
Customers have reciprocated the fun with the Spider Donut, ensuring its popularity remains high.

“I’m 100% here for unhinged Dunkin’,” commented one TikTok user.
“I spent an hour on Dunkin’ IG last night reading all the comments on the last 5-6 posts. I was laughing so hard,” shared another fan.
Other well-known brands, including Pringles, Pop Tarts, and Goldfish, have also joined the conversation, responding humorously to the Spider Donut’s antics.
“Mr. P is single,” teased Pringles on one Instagram post, while Pop Tarts cheekily added, “Send me the addy for your web.”
Though the Spider Donut will soon be off the menu, Dunkin’ continues to offer its $6 Meal Deal, featuring a Bacon, Egg, and Cheese sandwich, a side of Hash Browns, and either a medium Hot or Iced Coffee.
