On September 6th, Kim Jaejoong and Kim Junsu (XIA), two legendary K-pop idols, announced their plans to reunite as a duo in celebration of their 20th debut anniversary.

In a sneak peek video and shadowy poster shared on their social media accounts, the pair disclosed additional information regarding their highly anticipated collaborative concert, “JX 2024 CONCERT – IDENTITY – in Seoul.”The three-day event is set to take place from November 8th to 10th at the KSPO Dome in Olympic Park, Songpa-gu, Seoul.

Despite experiencing numerous changes, the concert’s tagline “Our true identity remains unchanged”captured significant attention, subtly alluding to the challenges they faced over the course of two decades.

After joining forces in 2004 to form the iconic K-pop group TVXQ, Jaejoong and Junsu’s careers took a turn in 2010 when they left the group due to a lawsuit against their management company, SM Entertainment. They then embarked on a new journey as part of the trio JYJ, along with Yoochun, under the agency C-JeS.

Despite having achieved success as a trio, particularly in Japan and Korea, Yoochun’s K-pop career came to an end in 2019 due to his involvement in a drug-related controversy.

Despite this, Jaejoong and Junsu have remained active as a duo, while Xia followed suit and departed from their label in 2021 to establish his own agency, Palmtree Island.

In 2023, Jaejoong departed from C-JeS and founded his own label, iNKODE Entertainment.

Despite their decision to pursue solo careers after their departure from JYJ, their bond and camaraderie remained intact. With JX’s upcoming performance, they will showcase the unique and unparalleled musical influence they have cultivated over the years.
