EA FC 25 Ballon d’Or Weekend: Start Date and Guide to Earning Free Rewards

In honor of Rodri and Aitana Bonmatí winning the prestigious Ballon d’Or awards, EA FC 25 is excited to announce a special in-game event offering players the opportunity to earn exclusive rewards.

The latest installment of EA FC 25 has already seen various Ultimate Team promotions, including Road to the Knockouts and Trailblazers, with many more on the horizon. However, as the Centurions event approaches, developers have confirmed a unique weekend campaign celebrating this year’s Ballon d’Or.

Launch Date for the Ballon d’Or Weekend

The Ballon d’Or Weekend event kicks off on Friday, November 8, 2024, starting promptly at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET / 6 PM GMT. This timing coincides with the unveiling of the first wave of player cards from the Centurions promo in Ultimate Team.

Although the exact end date for the event has yet to be revealed, it is anticipated to conclude on Monday, November 11.

What to Expect During the Ballon d’Or Weekend

Upon logging into the EA FC 25 Ballon d’Or Weekend, players will receive two distinct Player Picks featuring special Nominee cards available for loan. The first selection will showcase a men’s player nominated for this year’s award, while the second will highlight a women’s nominee.

After making your selection, the chosen Global Loan players will be integrated into your club for the duration of the event, allowing you to include them in your squad. However, once the Ballon d’Or Weekend concludes, these loan cards will be removed from your inventory.

Additionally, players can engage in a series of exciting in-game objectives centered around these Nominee cards. Completing tasks such as scoring goals or securing victories with your chosen players will yield free packs and permanent items for your club.

It is important to note that Ballon d’Or Nominee cards will not be available through regular pack openings, making the Player Picks the exclusive route to acquiring these coveted items.

EA FC 25 features a total of 20 Ballon d’Or Nominee cards, split evenly between the men’s and women’s categories. While the official list has yet to be disclosed, it is expected to comprise the top 10 contenders from the actual Ballon d’Or voting results.
