EA FC 25 Division Rivals Guide: Format, Points System, and Rewards Explained

<p>Division Rivals has always been a rigorous challenge, as players embark on a long quest to achieve the highest ranks. However, EA has raised the bar in FC 25, making it even more challenging.

For those seeking a more casual experience, game modes like Rush and Live Seasons in FC 25 are perfect. In contrast, Champions and Rivals push players to their limits, facing off against high-level competition.

EA has embraced this competitive spirit by intensifying the difficulty of qualifying and achieving better placements in the Champions Finals. This same philosophy has been applied to Rivals, with several adjustments made to elevate the overall skill level.

Below are the key features introduced in FC 25 Division Rivals.

Updated Rewards & Ranks

FC 25 has revamped the Rivals rewards system, increasing the number of wins needed for Weekly rewards from three to five and for upgraded weekly rewards from seven to 15. This update also implements a wins system instead of a points system, allowing draws to contribute towards your weekly progress.

In this new system, each win grants three points, a draw gives one point, and losses do not yield any points. Players will be rewarded based on their final division and the rank they achieve.

At this time, EA has only disclosed the Elite Division rewards.

Elite Division Rewards include:

  • 75,000 Ultimate Team Coins
  • Two Tradeable 85+ Player Picks (Choose 1 out of 4)
  • One Untradeable 75 Gold Rare Players Pack
  • One Tradeable 50 Gold Rare Players Pack
  • One Tradeable Mega Pack
  • Two Untradeable 83+ TOTW Player Packs

Legacy Division Placement

In FC 25, your initial Division in Rivals is determined by your highest Division achieved in FC 24. This ensures that less experienced players aren’t immediately matched against high-level competition, while skilled players can quickly start earning significant rewards.

Below is a chart indicating starting placements based on EA FC 24 highest divisions:

EA FC 24 Highest Division EA FC 25 Placement

EA has advised players that transitioning from a different platform will require using the same EA Account for the Division Rank to carry over.

Checkpoints & Relegation Changes

The Rivals experience in FC 25 becomes more demanding due to fewer checkpoints and the possibility of relegation when on a losing streak.

Divisions 1 and 2 will not include any Checkpoints, meaning that a loss at the beginning of a Division will result in relegation to the end of the previous Division. As was the case previously, reaching the Elite Division means you cannot be relegated until the season concludes.

Moreover, there will be fewer Checkpoints across all divisions in response to feedback from players who felt trapped against overly skilled opponents in FC 24.
