Evolutions have become an essential aspect of the Ultimate Team experience in EA FC 25. However, players are reporting a glitch that results in receiving cards with incorrect stats when completing Evolutions.
EA FC 25 Ultimate Team offers a wide variety of cards, from Team of the Week items to promotional cards like Road to the Knockouts. Through the use of Evolutions, players can enhance the stats of their team members, increasing their competitiveness on the field.
Unfortunately, a glitch has been causing players to receive unexpected cards upon completing all necessary challenges for Evolutions.
This issue appears to primarily affect users who attempt to stack Evolutions by using the same player for multiple enhancements. Specifically, it impacts those trying to utilize popular Evolutions such as Club Member and Power Surge.
For instance, upgrading Liverpool’s Joe Gomez—who has emerged as a favored card—from an 80 to an 82 rating, and then further to an 84 should work seamlessly. Yet, as illustrated by ‘Fidalgo’ on X, the preview displayed an 84-rated Gomez, but upon claiming it, the card was only 82-rated. Additionally, the card exhibited three points less in Pace than initially promised, along with diminished Dribbling stats.

While EA SPORTS has not officially acknowledged the glitch, it seems that the Evolutions are not stacking as expected. Instead of stacking, they appear to be overwriting prior upgrades, resulting in modifications based on the original card stats.
Despite the silence on the issue, it seems the developers are aware of the problem; the release of new Evolutions has significantly slowed down. Following their initial rapid deployment—featuring evolutions like Power Surge, Glow Up, and The Octopus—there has been a noticeable pause since the glitch surfaced.
Players remain hopeful for a timely fix and potential compensation, especially since many have already lost their single-use availability of each Evolution due to this issue. With FUT Champs set to commence this weekend and Division Rivals becoming increasingly competitive, enhancing player cards is more crucial than ever.
