EA FC 25 players predict that the tactical foul feature will break controllers

The implementation of a tactical foul mechanic in EA FC 25 will enable players to physically restrain their opponents and halt their progress in order to prevent a potential scoring opportunity. Although this feature may prove effective, members of the gaming community have expressed concern that it may also be frustrating to face.

Ahead of the launch of FC 25 on Sept. 27, EA gave a preview of some of the new features that will be included in the franchise in late July. One of the most significant additions is FC IQ, which transforms tactics, and there are also highly requested changes like upgrades to Evolutions and adjustments to goalie movement.

One of the latest additions to the game is the Tactical foul, which enables players to halt a counterattack in exchange for receiving a yellow card. This addition has received positive feedback from community members who appreciate the inclusion of a common occurrence in the sport. However, they are also aware that it will be a source of annoyance for them.

According to the developers, holding RB/R1 + A/X allows football fans to intentionally commit a foul.

In the past, a tactical foul was possible but it was a more difficult move to execute. Making a slide tackle at the incorrect angle often resulted in an automatic red card. However, with this new feature being introduced, there will likely be an increase in the number of yellow cards being given.

The thought of having your game-winning moment stolen away by an opponent dragging you down to the floor will inevitability cause outrage. One user joked, “How many friendships will be ruined by this button.”

In UT Champs, tactical fouls will prove to be particularly advantageous. In this mode, every victory holds significance as you face tough competition in every match against the top players.

A second player chimed in, stating that the upcoming UT champs match was about to reach a new level of toxicity. They envisioned a situation in the final minute where a one-on-one scenario could potentially lead to an equalizer, and the player in question successfully executing it.

Many EA FC 25 players anticipate that this feature will be utilized frequently during matches. However, excessive use of this feature can lead to their team receiving red cards. It should not significantly impact the overall experience, so do not worry about it too much.
