Like the previous installment, Division Rivals will continue to serve as the main competitive mode in EA FC 25’s Ultimate Team, providing players with the best chances for high-quality rewards and the ability to challenge their teams.
In the Community Update on July 18, the developers announced that they would be implementing some features that the community had requested, such as updates to Rivals checkpoints and rewards. They also gave information about the transition of division placement from FC 24 to FC 25.
In order to ensure that players are matched with opponents of similar skill and do not become stuck in a division that is not appropriate for their level, the game will decrease the overall number of checkpoints in Division Rivals.
Furthermore, in accordance with the checkpoint modifications, the development team will also be revamping the reward system. Rather than using wins, draws, and defeats to measure progress, players will now earn weekly rewards based on points earned from competing against opponents.
The points system is set to help players get the Division Rivals rewards easily.
The current system awards three points for wins and one point for draws, similar to the one used in Champions. This means that even achieving a draw can greatly contribute to securing the necessary points for earning rewards.
EA FC 25 will take into account the highest Division you reached in FC 24 for division placement. This ensures that you will not have to begin from the lowest division when the game is released. Instead, players will be matched with others of a similar level, enabling them to attain higher tier rewards more quickly.
Despite not disclosing all of the specifics, we anticipate that the mode will maintain its previous format and incorporate the aforementioned modifications. Nonetheless, the development team has assured that they will share further details about Ultimate Team in August, nearer to the release of the game.
We will continue to update this piece once new information is announced. In the meantime, please review all editions and pre-order rewards, as well as the licenses for the league, team, and competition.
