Like previous FIFAs, EA SPORTS will adjust its player rating system by granting an increase or decrease of one or two points to many players. However, ratings tend to be harsh on aging players, as their speed and overall stats often suffer heavy drops.

Let’s take an example: Cristiano Ronaldo went from 87 speed in FIFA 22 to 81 in the next game. The opposite, however, applies to younger players who explode during a season, like Patrick Schick, who passed from 79 to 85 in FIFA 23 after an impressive season with Bayer Leverkusen.

This year will be no exception to this rule. Superstars like Victor Osimhen, Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappé have achieved feats by scoring goals with disconcerting ease in their respective championships. On the other hand, legends like Cristiano Ronaldo, Robert Lewandowski and Karim Benzema are entering the second half of their careers.
