Easter Eggs Found in Latest Genshin Impact Event: Summertide Scales and Tales

The ongoing Genshin Impact Summertide Scales and Tales event has been discovered by players, who have already found references to Attack on Titan and Skyrim.

Genshin Impact frequently incorporates allusions to popular anime, including nods to a variety of series such as JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure and Full Metal Alchemist. The game has also made references to real-life individuals, including Elon Musk.

Additionally, the newly released Summerside Scales and Tales event from HoYOverse includes several Easter Eggs referencing AoT and Skyrim.

Travelers have expressed their excitement on the official Genshin Impact Reddit page after discovering famous lines from both works.

As a feature of the Summerside Scales and Tales festival, participants have the opportunity to journey to Simulanka – an island resembling a fairy tale and inhabited by intelligent origami creatures and clockwork beings. Among them, some have been observed making references to famous quotes from AoT and Skyrim.

The three clockwork figures are the first to appear. They are situated overlooking the sea, and one of them is pointing off into the distance, saying: “The other side of the sea…”

In Attack on Titan, the main character Eren Yeager has a pivotal moment where he comes to the realization that there are more enemies beyond the sea. His two comrades, Mikasa and Armin, witness this moment as Eren weakly gestures towards the sea.

“On the opposite side of this Region, there lies a vast sea. Some say that beyond the sea, there are free 5-star characters waiting to be claimed. This was a belief I held onto for a long time, but as one player joked, I was mistaken. However, there is still hope for great treasures beyond the sea, as I remember from my beta testing experience. If we were to discover all of those chests across the sea, could we possibly achieve a C6?”

Some individuals were quick to highlight that HoYoverse had also included the same allusion in the 3.5 Windblume Festival, where Amber, Collei, and Eula were also depicted gazing out at the sea. However, the references do not end there.

In a carriage, you can also come across two clockwork figures, one of whom exclaims: “Hey, you’re awake at last!”As most people are aware, these are the famous first words spoken in Bethesda’s beloved game, Skyrim.

The community of HoYoverse clearly has a deep appreciation for both AoT and Skyrim, as shown by the nods to both works that they love.
