Every each Season in Destiny 2 introduces a new seasonal activity. The number of activities will vary, but there will always be at least one. There is always something fresh for players to do, whether it is a six-player offensive, a public event, or a three-player activity like Heist Battlegrounds.

Defiant Battlegrounds are a new type of battlefield in Destiny 2 during Season of Defiance. The playlist version of this activity is three-player and features matchmaking. Later in the season, a Legend version of Defiant Battlegrounds will be released. In the interim, here is a Defiant Battleground: EDZ guide.

Approaching the Pyramid is the first phase in Defiant Battleground: EDZ. Before Destiny 2 players may utilize Mara’s abilities to open a gateway to the Ascendant Realm, they must first clear the path. Before entering the Pyramid, a big number of Eliksni and Shadow Legion must be dealt with.

There will be Unstoppable and Overload Champions interspersed throughout this activity if you perform this battlefield in the playlist. Plan up your load outs and artifact bonuses properly.

The pedestal for the portal may appear to be out of reach, however players may walk on the water. When you’re ready, approach the pedestal and activate the gateway to the Ascendant Plane.

The Plane of Ascension

The goal of this section of Defiant Battleground: EDZ is to go via the Ascending Plane to the Pyramid. The Taken will put up a lot of opposition. Along the route, there’s a Taken bomb tunnel and a blight with rotating pieces. Go carefully across this region and light the Balefire to unlock the Taken Blights-blocked entrance to the Pyramid.

Break into the Pyramid

Enter the Pyramid and continue the walkway until you reach an open courtyard. The passage is obstructed by a massive Taken Blight guarded by Exomida, Taken of the Witness, a corrupted Servitor. Exomida is hazardous because of the sheer number of assaults it throws at players, but it is also accompanied by big groups of Taken. Inflict damage on the boss until it becomes immune. A Blight will develop on either the left or right side of the courtyard at this moment.

The Blight is guarded by a large number of Taken, so deal with them first. Continue to damage the boss until another Blight arrives. Continue this technique until the boss dies, at which point you can enter the Pyramid.

How to Defeat Warden Vincu’us and the Shadow Legion

Vincu’us is the activity’s last boss. Rally around the flag and make sure all guns are fully reloaded. The final boss, unlike prior seasonal activities, is in a respawn limited zone. Those who are not careful may wipe and have to restart the combat.

Inflict damage on the boss until he obtains a shield. At this point, proceed to the waypoint to light the Balefire. This will build a dome that will shelter players from the Darkness that has taken over the arena. Players will have roughly 6 seconds after exiting the dome before they begin incurring damage.

Look for Taken Wizards known as Taken Anomalies to shatter the shield. Kill them and collect the mote they drop. Return the mote to the dome and purify it, transforming it into a ball that may be launched at the monster. The shield will take numerous balls to shatter.

Continue to damage the boss until the shield regenerates. Ignite the next Balefire and continue the process to bring the shield down once again. To finish Defiant Battleground: EDZ, keep damaging the boss until it dies.

Destiny 2 is available now on Epic Games Store, PS4, PS5, Steam, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
