In Life Is Strange: Double Exposure, one of the pivotal characters Max encounters is Lucas Colmenero. Their relationship isn’t the smoothest, with suspicions surrounding his connection to Safi. To uncover the truth about their dynamic, Max must navigate timelines and find a way to unlock the secrets hidden within his briefcase. Below is a guide on how to successfully divert Lucas’s attention in Life Is Strange: Double Exposure.
How to Distract Lucas in Life Is Strange: Double Exposure
During Chapter Two, Max will meet Lucas at the cafe located in the Fine Arts Building while she’s in the “living”timeline. Engaging in a light conversation leads Lucas to stand up and secure his briefcase.
After he leaves his seat, transition to the “Dead”timeline by interacting with the gateway situated near the windows.
Post-conversation, move to the counter of the cafe and pick up the marker located at the far right side.
With Lucas turned away, you have the opportunity to deface his standee. You can choose from either vandalism option, as the outcome is the same.
Return to Lucas and inform him about the unfortunate news concerning his standee. This will compel him to get up, which creates the perfect distraction.
While Lucas inspects his standee, take the opportunity to snatch the key from his briefcase.
Optional: Capture a snapshot of Lucas with his standee to share on Crosstalk.
Once you have the key, switch back to the “Living”timeline using one of the nearby gateways.
Lucas will still be on his phone, allowing you to unlock his briefcase and discover what he’s hiding.
And that’s the complete guide to diverting Lucas in Life Is Strange: Double Exposure. Once you’ve successfully drawn his focus away, Max can delve into the contents of his briefcase.
Spoilers Ahead
Later, Lucas confronts Max while she’s photographing the contents of the briefcase, which includes a restraining order against Safi. He provides context about the order, and players can choose to either delete the photo or send it to Safi.
Ultimately, the decision is yours to make. While you’re busy distracting Lucas and assisting Gwen, don’t forget to collect all photos in Chapters One and Two of Life Is Strange: Double Exposure.
