On August 20, 2024, he announced to his fans that the live-action adaptation of One Piece was currently in production, with filming progressing smoothly. The storyline will include Loguetown, Reverse Mountain (Twin Cape), Whiskey Peak, Little Garden, and Drum Island.
Furthermore, he mentions that more cast members will be revealed over the course of three days – August 21, 22, and 23. He encourages readers to keep an eye out for these announcements and promises that there will be many more exciting updates to come.
The exclusion of the Arabasta Arc in Season 2 of One Piece indicates that it will cover fewer chapters than anticipated, resulting in improved pacing. Arabasta is the second major storyline in the series, with the first season encompassing all East Blue arcs except for Loguetown.
Despite the second season not covering the namesake storyline, all other arcs still fall under the Arabasta Saga. It is expected that Season 3 will center around the entire arc, which has pleased fans as it means there will be more OPLA seasons in the future.
“According to a fan, the possibility of Seasons 2 and 3 being filmed together has increased with the release of Alabasta Season 3. It is unlikely that filming would stop in the middle of the Alabasta saga, confirming the arrival of Season 3. This should result in a shorter wait time compared to the gap between Seasons 1 and 2.”
“Another fan adds that season 3 should include the Alabasta arc, introducing new characters such as Robin, Vivi, Ace, and Crocodile. They understand the reasoning behind preparing for both season 2 and 3.”
“Despite adapting fewer chapters, I believe that having 8 episodes will benefit the pacing and allow them more time to improve and enhance the arcs from the manga/anime, such as Little Garden,”states another individual on Twitter.
