Elden Ring DLC boss made less terrifying by surprising revelation

Those who have fought against the Dancing Lion boss in Shadow of the Erdtree in Elden Ring are surprised to discover the truth about the massive creature.

The first boss that players will come across in Shadow of the Erdtree is the Divine Beast Dancing Lion. As with all other bosses in Elden Ring, this enemy is formidable and will require numerous attempts to defeat.

Despite this, BonfireVN, a popular YouTuber (link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dO8vEHspEdE) has recently uncovered the true identity of the Dancing Lion – two enormous figures donning intricate attire.

The individual at the forefront dons the shaggy headpiece, using their hands to control the lion’s facial expressions and movements such as roaring and shaking its head.

At the same time, another individual trails behind the leader, crawling on all fours to serve as the tail. A peek underneath the suit reveals that this person is put under immense stress whenever Elden Ring’s Dancing Lion leaps around the vicinity.

Fans of Shadow of the Erdtree were taken aback by the disclosure, although a few pointed out that the Dancing Lion has its origins in Chinese culture.

The attire is designed to resemble the Barongsai, a traditional Chinese lion dance typically showcased at festivals and various gatherings. The lion costume is operated by two dancers, with one controlling the head and the other managing the tail.

In the comments section of YouTube, a viewer expressed their amazement, stating, “I never would have thought that a barongsai could be transformed into such an otherworldly creation. The design team did an excellent job.”

The man at the back… What was once a terrifying boss has now become a source of amusement. It is quite comical to witness him scurrying around on his hands and knees.

Coincidentally, this is the identical boss that Perrikaryal, a streamer, defeated using a gamepad controlled by their mind.
