A new patch has been released for Elden Ring’s Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, making the notoriously tough final boss battle more manageable.
Elden Ring is known for its brutal boss fights, and Promised Consort Radahn has quickly gained a fearsome reputation. His extensive attack range, high movement speed, quick response time, significant damage output, and powerful ranged spells can overpower any player who isn’t performing at their best, especially before he transforms into his second form.
Players who are facing difficulties against the end boss in Shadow of the Erdtree can now find some relief thanks to FromSoftware’s 1.14 patch. According to the official Elden Ring website, Promised Consort Radahn has received significant nerfs designed to ease the fight.
Promised Consort Radahn has been nerfed in Elden Ring’s latest patch
The patch notes indicate that certain attacks from Promised Consort Radahn have had their regular and stamina damage reduced, and the range of some of his non-weapon moves has been decreased. Additionally, his action pattern at the beginning of the fight has been modified, with improved visibility on some of his attacks.
The adjustment to Promised Consort Radahn is likely to stir up feelings among those who conquered him prior to this update. Players had to repeatedly confront this formidable boss to secure a victory, while future players will benefit from an eased challenge.
Conversely, it gives those who previously triumphed a chance to boast about defeating the “pre-nerf” version of the boss, similar to the bragging rights linked to the original Radahn boss fight in Elden Ring.
This update will be a welcome change for players struggling with the final encounter in Shadow of the Erdtree. Promised Consort Radahn shares the same frustrating traits as the other bosses in the DLC, especially his aggressive nature, and being able to withstand a few more hits may be just what players need to complete the game.
