Elden Ring Patch Updates Shadow Realm Blessings to Make Game Easier

FromSoftware has recently launched a patch for the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC in Elden Ring, which provides an easier gameplay experience for players who actively engage with one of its gameplay systems.

In the DLC of Elden Ring’s Shadow Realm, players can come across Scadutree Fragments and Revered Spirit Ashes. Scadutree Fragments boost your stats, while Revered Spirit Ashes enhance the power of your Spirit Ashes.

Some players are struggling with the Elden Ring DLC boss fights due to not utilizing the Shadow Realm Blessings mechanic. This could be because they are unaware of how it works or because they do not believe it significantly impacts the difficulty. As a result, these players are facing increased challenges in the game.

A recent tweet from the official Elden Ring Twitter account has revealed the launch of patch Version 1.12.2. In addition to fixing various graphical glitches on PC, this update also adjusts the strength of the Shadow Realm Blessings.

As stated in the patch notes on the Elden Ring website, the scaling of the Shadow Realm Blessings’ attack and damage negation curves has been revised.

“The initial half of the maximum Blessing enhancements now provide a greater amount of attack and damage negation, while the latter half has been adjusted to have a more gradual increase. Furthermore, the final level of Blessing enhancements has been slightly boosted in terms of the attack and damage negation granted.”

As the game progresses, players will find that Shadow Realm Blessings are more useful in the early stages, but their effectiveness decreases in later stages. However, fully upgrading them will result in a significant boost. It is highly recommended to max them out in order to successfully challenge the difficult end boss in the DLC.

This patch will hopefully alleviate some of the frustration surrounding Shadow of the Erdtree. Fans have been expressing their discontent with the DLC’s punishing and unjust difficulty, but now those players have no excuse to not embrace the gift of the Shadow Realm.
