Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree Leaks Unearth Another Poison Swamp

As the release of Elden Ring’s Shadow of the Erdtree DLC draws closer, leaks are increasing in frequency. The most recent leak provides a detailed glimpse at the upcoming poison swamp and other breathtaking locations.

After what seemed like an endless wait, FromSoftware finally released a trailer for the highly anticipated Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. This trailer sparked a frenzy of speculation among fans about potential new weapon types and bosses.

The recent story trailer provided a glimpse of what we could anticipate, but as expected from FromSoftware, everything has been left ambiguous. This has left players unsure if Sites of Grace will even make an appearance in Shadow of the Erdtree.

It is certain that a new poison swamp will be included in Elden Ring’s Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, as Hidetaka Miyazaki is leading the project. A glimpse of this swamp was seen in the first trailer, and recent leaks from the Korean message board Ruliweb provide an exciting new detail.

This new poison swamp dungeon in the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC could be where we find this fellow.

Despite the reduced quality due to the use of secondary photos of a computer screen, there is still valuable information to be gathered. The final destination of this newly discovered poison swamp seems to be a Legacy Dungeon with a noticeable Carian influence.

It is uncertain if this is the infamous Death Blight swamp that has caused fear among fans, but the water at the bottom of the new dungeon is definitely contaminated. The golden flowers surrounding the swamp in another image do not resemble the Dewkissed Herba typically used to make Rejuvenating Boluses, which are known to cure Death Blight. This could potentially be a positive indication.

The remaining images revealed in the Shadow of the Erdtree leak are less dark in nature. Notable highlights include tranquil waterfalls situated beneath the towering, distorted tree featured in the key artwork, as well as a closer view of the peaceful meadow adorned with shimmering blue flowers that was previously shown in trailers.

The release of the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC on June 21, 2024 is just a few weeks away. But before you can explore the new locations, you must first defeat Starscourge Radahn and Mogh, Lord of Blood.
