Elon Musk Reveals His Reasons for Not Playing League of Legends

Elon Musk, a well-known entrepreneur and avid gamer, has recently disclosed why he has never engaged with the popular game League of Legends. Despite his enthusiasm for gaming, he maintains a deliberate distance from certain titles.

Although Musk is heavily invested in various gaming experiences, including the trending Diablo 4, he has established himself as one of the elite players in the world. As the proprietor of the social media platform X (previously Twitter), he frequently shares insights about his gaming preferences, discussing the titles he enjoys and providing commentary on the gaming industry.

Musk Discusses His Abstinence from League of Legends

In a recent video clip shared on X, Musk participated in a light-hearted gaming quiz conducted by Kai Trump, the granddaughter of Donald Trump. When questioned about his gaming history, he mentioned playing Quake and several other first-person shooters but stated he had never dabbled in Fortnite.

As the conversation shifted to League of Legends, Musk humorously expressed, “If I started playing League, it would damage the space program.” This remark highlights his awareness of the game’s addictive potential, reflecting a certain levity about the impact such distractions could have on his responsibilities.

While Musk did not explicitly cite addiction as the reason for avoiding League of Legends, his lighthearted laughter following the comment suggests an understanding of the game’s compelling nature. His admission resonated with other X users, who acknowledged the risks of immersing oneself in such an engaging digital environment.

One user remarked, “Elon knows the real cost of getting sucked into League; it might be too risky even for a rocket scientist.” Another chimed in with a laugh, affirming, “He is right about League of Legends. That game is something else.”

League of Legends continues to dominate the gaming world as one of the most successful team-based multiplayer games in recent history. Its popularity has surged even further due to the widespread acclaim of its animated series, Arcane, which recently concluded its second season, drawing record viewership numbers and earning numerous Emmy nominations.
