Emily in Paris Actress Discusses Her Infamous Topless Scene as “Every Actor’s Worst Nightmare”

Ashley Park, a prominent star of *Emily in Paris*, recently spoke candidly about her challenging experience filming one of the most talked-about nude scenes of the season.

With the conclusion of *Emily in Paris* Season 4, Netflix released the long-anticipated Part 2 on September 12.

This season featured many remarkable moments, from Emily’s love triangle to the extravagant fashion. However, a specific scene involving Mindy (Park) has resonated with many viewers.

In Season 4, Episode 8, Mindy performs topless at the renowned Parisian cabaret Crazy Horse. Park openly shared her feelings about filming this moment, stating to People Magazine, “[It was] every actor’s worst nightmare.”

She elaborated, “We have this recurrent memory of being onstage, not knowing what you’re doing, in your underwear. And that was what I was actually experiencing, surrounded by some of the most beautiful dancers in the world.”

In this episode, Mindy, an aspiring singer, chooses to perform at Crazy Horse to raise funds for her band competing in Eurovision.

However, the situation worsens when Mindy realizes her singing falters when she’s topless, complicating her plan until she and Emily devise a creative solution to her stage fright.

During a performance of Britney Spears’ “Oops!… I Did It Again,” Emily tosses an array of purses onto the stage, which Mindy uses to cover herself, enabling her to overcome her earlier anxieties.

Reflecting on the filming experience, Park expressed, “It was so stressful and so hard to do. If it hadn’t been for the choreographer, Kyle Hanagami, and my supportive team, I don’t think I would’ve managed to get through it.”

By the end of the interview, the actress shared that she is now “actually really proud” of the scene, vowing she “will never forget” the journey that led her to feel comfortable with herself.
