The popular series Emily in Paris, known for its “ringarde”style, is coming back for a fourth season. Fans are eager to know what the Netflix show has in store.
In 2020, Netflix released Emily in Paris, a series created by Darren Star and starring Lily Collins. The show centers around Emily Cooper (Collins), a marketing executive who navigates her exciting new life in Paris, balancing her career, friendships, and love life.
Despite receiving mixed reviews from critics, the series quickly rose to the top of the Netflix Top 10 chart within a month. Its devoted fanbase, along with hate-watchers, has been strong enough to guarantee the show multiple seasons.
As its fourth season approaches and with past seasons being highly acclaimed among the best shows on Netflix, what can viewers expect for Emily and her adventures in Paris?

Emily in Paris Season 4 plot
The plot of Emily in Paris Season 4 centers around Emily navigating a complicated love triangle, which has been further complicated by the arrival of an unexpected baby.
The official season synopsis states that Emily is struggling after the dramatic events of Camille and Gabriel’s ill-fated wedding. She finds herself torn between two men, but her situation becomes even more complicated when Gabriel’s ex announces she is pregnant with his child. Alfie’s suspicions about Emily and Gabriel are also proven to be true.
“While on the job, Sylvie is presented with a difficult situation from her past that she must address in order to save her marriage. Meanwhile, the Agence Grateau team must navigate changes within their personnel. As Mindy and her band prepare for Eurovision, they encounter financial struggles and are forced to find cost-effective solutions.”
“Despite the undeniable chemistry between Emily and Gabriel as they strive for a Michelin star, their dreams are threatened by two major secrets that could potentially unravel their hard work.”
After Camille left Gabriel at the altar, there were significant revelations in the previous season. Despite her supposed pregnancy with Gabriel’s child, show creator Darren Starr revealed to Entertainment Tonight that the pregnancy will continue to play a major role in the plot.
In Season 3, it becomes evident that being a father is a major aspiration for Gabriel. Despite his enthusiasm and eagerness for fatherhood, the pace of our show does not allow for rapid progression. Each season only covers a few months, and after three seasons, only about six months have passed in the show’s timeline. Therefore, it is unlikely that we will see a baby in Season 4. However, the possibility of a baby will need to be addressed by the characters.
Despite leaving Emily upon realizing his feelings for Gabriel, Alfie’s absence is only temporary. According to Starr, the focus of Season 4 will be on the complexity of relationships, both personal and professional, and the conflicts that arise between them. Emily will continue to work with Alfie, Gabriel, and Camille, and these work relationships will be filled with emotional turmoil.
