A DoorDash driver left a customer’s home with tears in his eyes after a heartwarming Disney-themed prank deeply moved him.
This DoorDash driver experienced an unexpected surprise when he arrived at Kyle Philippi’s family residence to deliver their order. When the door swung open, the Dasher was met with a whimsical Hercules movie set, complete with enchanting drapes and a sign reading, “A far off place” – a delightful reference to the 1997 Disney classic.
To enhance the authenticity of the prank, Kyle and his family donned costumes of various characters from the beloved film. As if that weren’t enough, they even serenaded the Dasher with the iconic song ‘Go the Distance’ from the celebrated mythological movie.
Stunned, the driver stood in awe as ‘Hercules’ sang, “If I can be strong, I know every mile will be worth my while. I would go most anywhere to feel like I belong.”
In the midst of this performance, a member of Kyle’s troupe handed the Dasher a $10 tip. However, the family later decided to give him $100 for “wasting” his time.
Although Kyle and his family were uncertain how their delivery driver would react to their musical display, the Dasher ended up leaving with tears in his eyes, profoundly touched by their gesture.
Before departing, the Dasher confided in the family that he had lost his daughter the previous year. “We lost our daughter last year,” he shared.
He expressed gratitude to the Philippi family for the joy they had brought him. “Y’all are awesome. This was awesome. Like, this is the best DoorDash I’ve been on in two years,” he replied.
A family member responded, “We want to spread joy to people, just have some fun, and show that there are random acts of kindness out there.”

This sparked the ‘she deserved the purse’ trend, where many viewers placed cash and gift cards under the lids of baby formula and in diaper boxes, hoping to provide a deserving mother with the means to treat herself during shopping trips.
