Enchanting Baldur’s Gate 3 Romance Mod to Fulfill Your Fantasies

Thanks to a new mod for Baldur’s Gate 3, players can now initiate various romance scenes with any companion or NPC in the game.

Since its release, Baldur’s Gate 3 has garnered a significant player base, praised for its iconic characters, engaging storyline, immersive gameplay, and notably, its romance options. These romantic elements have been described by some players as so exceptional that they overshadow other games.

However, there is one drawback: Currently, Baldur’s Gate 3 lacks a feature to replay scenes, including romantic encounters. This means that if gamers wish to revisit a specific romance scene, they must create a save just before that moment, complicating the process.

Fortunately, this issue has been resolved with the introduction of the mod “Replayable Romance Scenes,” developed by ‘Cerberyy’ and ‘Moxi.’

This mod, available on Nexus Mods, allows players to initiate several romantic scenes with “any companion, NPC, or even inanimate objects” by casting a custom spell on them.

This mod essentially enables players to romance non-origin characters or companions. So if you’ve ever wanted an adventurous romantic encounter with Rolan, Dammon, Raphael, or even Alfira, this mod makes it possible.

Download data indicates that the mod has been utilized over 10,000 times, with players submitting some humorous screenshots from their experiences—one notable example being Elminster “romancing” Withers.

As of now, the replayable romance scenes included in this mod are:

  • Astarion’s Act 1 romance scene
  • Minthara’s romance scene
  • Astarion’s Act 3 post-ascension scene
  • Wyll’s dance scene

According to the mod’s description, these custom scenes will not interfere with your game, allowing you to trigger them freely.

One caveat is that sometimes the animations may “get misaligned in certain areas” or “clip through the scenery,” even when using the correct character model. The author suggests trying to activate these scenes in different locations to mitigate any issues.
