The Baldur’s Gate 3 community is deeply divided over the upcoming endings that will be added to the game, debating whether or not they are deserved.
Baldur’s Gate 3 is set to receive a series of new endings, focused on providing more content for players who choose to live a life of evil in the game.
However, many fans are disappointed by this, wishing the content was more character and companion focused.
Now the community is divided as many others feel that players are simply demanding that their favorite characters receive more content, rather than what is best for the game.
Community debate on the new endings of Baldur’s Gate 3
On the Baldur’s Gate 3 subreddit, a player posted a message complaining that he was hoping for more story for the characters of Karlach and Wyll, with special attention given to Karlach.

As she currently is, Karlach does not cure the time bomb inside her, which is the focal point of her story arc.
However, she is told that there is a cure she can find, although we never see it. This is enough according to other Baldur’s Gate 3 users:
“She has hope, a plan for a forge and a new adventure. She no longer waits to die. Do you need a ten-minute scene of her having heart surgery and adopting five children before you accept that she’s going to live?”
In response to this post, many defend the upcoming endings, saying that there isn’t much content for evil paths compared to other styles of play.
“The evil journey needs more endings, that’s a good thing. Karlach got the closure she needed…and I say that as a Karlach fan.”
They believe these fans are behaving in a spoiled manner, especially after Karlach received a bit more content when the developers added an epilogue to the game a few months after its release.
Of course, every player is going to want to spend more time with their favorite characters, but it seems like some players have made peace with what they’ve been given.
