Endless Projections Mode in Girls’ Frontline 2: The Ultimate Challenge for F2P Players

Girls’ Frontline 2 continues to captivate its player base with consistent updates, including the recent limited Makiatto banner, ongoing campaign expansions, and engaging events. However, balancing these enhancements has become increasingly challenging for both developers and players alike.

The New Year kicked off with enthusiasm as GFL2 introduced exciting incentives such as free Collapse Pieces and Intelligence Puzzle login rewards. New challenges like Makiatto’s Rhapsody Quartet were launched, alongside the much-anticipated Endless Projections mode.

The Challenge of Endless Projections

The introduction of Endless Projections has notably sparked a lively discussion within the community. This challenge-style mode pushes players to face successive waves of formidable adversaries. However, players must field two distinct teams and elevate both to rank 40 or higher to partake fully in the event.

This requirement has proven particularly daunting for free-to-play (F2P) participants and those who haven’t been engaged since the game’s initial release. Compounding the challenge is the event’s limited two-week duration, leading many players to express concerns over the short timespan provided to tackle the extensive content.

“I think it’s too early for game modes requiring the use of a second team,” shared one frustrated player on the GFL2 Reddit page.

The player further noted, “While it’s possible to make do without those rewards, some stages require high scores to unlock, making it nearly unavoidable. This is especially hard to do since a secondary team is often significantly under-leveled compared to your main team due to the high resource cost of leveling up characters in this game.”

In contrast to previous events, participants must exclusively utilize their Dolls, rendering the temporary usage of allies’ units impossible. Although the accompanying Intelligence Puzzles event will assist in leveling up underperforming characters, those without favorable banner pulls may still find it exceedingly tough.

As the community has indicated, several aspects of character development are resource-intensive. Each character demands numerous Combat Reports, Analysis Blueprints, Neural Helixes, Sardis Gold, and weapon Attachments, often leading to the need for hundreds or even thousands of these items. Farming such resources can be an arduous process that consumes significant time and stamina.

Though this situation may be sustainable in the long run, players believe that the developers may have rushed to launch Endless Projections. One player remarked, “Yup, I also think it’s too early, especially this new event. I don’t know what Mica’s reason for deciding this,” adding to the growing sentiment of hesitance among the player base.

Others were keen to highlight that the latest event seems to be catered towards whales, with F2P players feeling overlooked. “I agree. The event was too early, in my opinion, mats for building more than 1 team is so hard to gather unless you are a whale. I was hoping at least they released the event next month.”

For those navigating the challenges of this event, a strategic approach could involve splitting your main team into two divisions. This ensures that both teams benefit from your top DPS units. Additionally, consulting our comprehensive GFL2 characters tier list can help you in forming stronger team compositions.
