Black Ops 6’s map pool in the beta left some players underwhelmed, yet one map stands out as the best—Skyline. This map could be enhanced with a few simple improvements.
Skyline was among five maps in the Black Ops 6 beta, including Scud, Derelict, Rewind, and, for the second weekend, Babylon.
Treyarch focused on small and medium-sized maps for BO6, which disappointed some players, but Skyline is widely praised as the top choice.
However, Skyline has a flaw that hampers gameplay: the jacuzzi and pool area often becomes chaotic during matches, making engagements feel random and challenging for players.
The main issue lies in the lines of sight across the pool, which are exposed from nearly every angle with little cover. This situation complicates objective play in modes like Hardpoint or Domination.
One player proposed straightforward tweaks that could improve the pool area’s flow by adding extra walls to eliminate some of these sightlines.
Skyline’s pool area can be problematic for players approaching the objective.
As suggested by player FlowKom, adding walls around the pool could create advantageous attack positions while providing players on the objective a better chance to succeed.
These adjustments are unlikely to make the map perfect—no Call of Duty map can achieve that—but they could significantly enhance the flow in that section and facilitate smoother gameplay.
It’s possible that Treyarch will implement map changes before the game’s release on October 25. In the past, they have made similar adjustments, such as removing an entrance in Black Ops 3’s Evac before launch.
While waiting for the full game, ensure your settings are optimized for maximum FPS and adjust your Warzone controller settings to prepare for top-tier gameplay when the game launches.
