Bungie has recently introduced a new feature, with the release of Destiny 2 The Final Shape, that enables players to enhance perks on their non-crafted weapons.
The upcoming expansion allows players to upgrade the abilities of certain weapons that cannot be crafted within the game. Learn more about enhancing weapons in Destiny 2: The Final Shape.
How to Enhance Weapon Perks in Destiny 2
In order to enhance the perks on a weapon in Destiny 2’s The Final Shape, the weapon must have an empty enhancement socket. Without this socket, it will not be possible to enhance the perks on the weapon.
You need to reach Tier 3 enhancement to unlock both enhancement perks.
To improve your weapon in Destiny 2, follow these steps:
- Open the weapon loadout page and press and hold the “Fire” button on the “Weapon Enhancement Socket.”
- To unlock Tier 1 enhancement, you will need to spend 7,500 Glimmer and 20 Enhancement Cores.
- Once you’ve done that, this “Weapon Enhancement Socket” will transform into “Weapon Level Boost Socket.”
- From here onwards, there are two methods that you can follow:
- You can either spend Enhancement Cores and Glimmer to increase your weapon level.
- Alternatively, you can go out in the world and start killing enemies to level your weapon up.
- After you’ve reached a minimum of Level 11, you will be able to unlock Tier 2 enhancement for your weapon. This will cost you 15,000 Glimmer, 1 Ascendant Alloy, and 3 Enhancement Prisms.
- The Tier 2 Enhancement will convert your first Weapon Trait into its enhanced version.
- To convert the second Weapon Trait into its enhanced version, you will have to complete the Tier 3 Enhancement.
- In order to achieve this, you must reach Level 17 with your weapon using the two aforementioned methods. When you have reached that level, you will need to expend 15,000 Glimmer, 1 Ascendant Alloy, and 3 Enhancement Prisms to successfully complete the Tier 3 enhancement.
