On May 13th, episode 11 of tvN’s Mon-Tue drama “Lovely Runner”achieved a 5.7% rating in the Seoul area, with a real-time peak of 6.5%. In addition, it recorded a 4.7% nationwide rating (peak 5.4%). The drama also dominated the 2049 chart for tvN’s audience, with a 3.4% rating in Seoul (peak 3.8%) and 3.3% nationwide (peak 3.6%). This marks the sixth consecutive week that the drama has been ranked No.1 among all programs on all channels.
In Episode 11, viewers witness the heartwarming and tender date between Ryu Sun-jae (Byun Woo-seok) and Im Sol (Kim Hye-yoon). Finally learning the date of his death, Sun-jae cherishes every moment with Sol as she must return to the future soon. Despite only having a month together, they confess their love and Sun-jae vows to wait for her in 2023 with unchanging love. He tells Sol, “Let’s not hold back and make the most of every second we have together” .
After promising to meet again in the future, the two continue to enjoy their sweet dates. Ryu Seon-jae affectionately saves Im Sol’s name as “Sol♡”in his phone and makes her number his top speed dial. He even starts using mask packs to maintain his good appearance for the next 15 years. The couple then decides to get matching cell phones and take classes together. Im Sol musters up the courage to confess her love, pleading with Ryu Seon-jae not to run away and to love her instead. As they watch the falling petals, she makes a wish for their happiness together for a long time. However, their families mistakenly catch them dating in secret, causing them to be suddenly separated.
After receiving information from Im Sol, Detective Kim successfully locates the serial killer Kim Young-soo. He carefully studies all available CCTV footage to track the movements of the white truck and discovers that the killer is planning his next attack. A search warrant is obtained and Detective Kim leads a team to a rundown store in the countryside where they apprehend Kim Young-soo. The final scene of the arrest, where the killer is seen dropping his handcuffs, leaves viewers stunned.
Meanwhile, as a guest vocalist, Ryu Seon-jae delivers a powerful final performance with ECLIPSE. Im Sol is moved to tears upon hearing Ryu Seon-jae sing “Sudden Shower,”a song that he composed for the band. With the inclusion of Kim Young-soo’s story, fans are left wondering about the future of Ryu Seon-jae and Im Sol.
