Eris Anime Announces Production of The Holy Grail

On October 20, 2024, the highly anticipated anime adaptation of The Holy Grail of Eris was revealed via a promotional video posted on Drecom Media’s official YouTube channel. The animation studio behind the project, as well as key production staff details, remain undisclosed at this time.

This light novel series has also expanded into the manga realm, with illustrations by Hinase Momoyama, and it has a sequel manga drawn by S. Kosugi.

The promotional clip for The Holy Grail of Eris showcased the main cast members, featuring narration by their respective voice actors. It concluded with the exciting news of the anime’s adaptation and the initial voice cast announcements.

While essential aspects like the studio, expected release date, and additional staff are yet to be disclosed, the primary voice talents have been unveiled. Constance Grail will be voiced by Kana Ichinose (known for her role as Sayu in Higehiro), and the character of Scarlet Castiel will be brought to life by Sayumi Suzushiro (who portrayed Nijika in Bocchi the Rock!).

This marks the writer’s inaugural venture into the anime industry; however, the illustrator boasts experience with several established light novel series, including The Disappearance of Hatsune Miku.

Moreover, Hinase Momoyama, the artist behind the manga adaptation, has illustrated adaptations for several notable arcs, including Higurashi and Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?.

Kujira Tokiwa, the creator of the light novel, expressed gratitude to fans for their unwavering support, which has paved the way for the anime adaptation. He humorously remarked on expending a decade of good fortune to see this dream realized.

Yuunagi, the light novel’s original illustrator, echoed similar sentiments, sharing their astonishment at the idea of the characters being voiced. Hinase Momoyama, responsible for the manga adaptation’s artwork, honored the authors with a visual representation of the two main female characters and Randolph Ulster.

S. Kosugi, who illustrated the sequel’s manga adaptation, also contributed a visual expressing their appreciation for the cast. The voice actors involved shared their own thoughts regarding the thrilling announcement of The Holy Grail of Eris anime.

Synopsis of The Holy Grail of Eris

The Holy Grail of Eris is a drama-fantasy narrative centered on the noblewoman Constance Grail, who suffers betrayal at the hands of her fiancé. After her pleas for justice fall on deaf ears, she becomes possessed by the spirit of Scarlet Castiel, who assists Constance in seeking revenge.

However, Castiel’s assistance demands a favor in return. In her past life, Castiel was similarly betrayed, which led to her tragic end. Will Constance assist Castiel in obtaining justice posthumously?
