Escape from Princess Lessons Anime Confirms January 2025 Release Date, New PV and Visual Revealed

The anime “I Want to Escape from Princess Lessons” is scheduled to make its debut on January 5, 2024. This exciting news was announced by the anime’s official team alongside a new promotional video released on Wednesday, October 30, 2024. The video not only confirmed the premiere date but also provided insights into the cast and the musical themes, along with showcasing an updated key visual.

Created by EMT Squared, “I Want to Escape from Princess Lessons”is adapted from a light novel series penned by Izumi Sawano and illustrated by Miru Yumesaki. The light novels were serialized by Shufu to Seikatsu Sha from April 2019 to March 2020, resulting in two published volumes. A manga adaptation featuring illustrations by Uri Sugeta is also currently in progress.

Main Trailer Confirms “I Want to Escape from Princess Lessons”Premiere Date

On October 30, 2024 (coinciding with Manners Day), the official website and social media account of “I Want to Escape from Princess Lessons”released the main trailer featuring the January 5, 2024 release date.

The anime will air weekly on Sundays at 10 PM JST, starting January 5, 2024, on Tokyo MX. Additionally, the series will debut on BS Fuji at 12:30 AM JST on January 9, 2024.

The latest promotional video highlights Leticia’s struggles as she endures a rigorous training regimen to become the ideal princess. Alongside Leticia and her fiancé, Clark, the trailer introduces Nadir, Clark’s aide and Leticia’s brother, along with Brianna, a baron’s daughter searching for a wealthy husband.

According to the brief video, Wataru Hatano has joined the cast as Nadir, while Yuuki Saito voices Brianna. The PV accentuates the character voices of these newcomers, with Jun Fukuyama as Clarke and Haruka Shiraishi as Leticia.

There will be a special stage event for “I Want to Escape from Princess Lessons”during the Animate Girls Festival 2024 (AGF2024) on November 9-10, 2024, featuring appearances by Yuuki Saito, Jun Fukuyama, and Haruka Shiraishi.

In addition to the promotional video, a fresh key visual has been released, featuring Clarke embracing Leticia from behind, while Nadir and Brianna observe the scene from a distance.

Details about the theme songs have emerged. Jun Fukuyama, who plays Clarke, performs the opening theme titled “Kimi to Shika Koi Shinai,”whereas the ending theme, “Alibi na Curtesy,”is sung by the group DIALOGUE+.

The anime’s direction and character design are under the guidance of Shinobu Tagashira at EMT Squared, with Tomoko Kanemaki responsible for series composition. The music is composed by Yuuki Hayashi and Naoyuki Chikatani, while Pony Canyon oversees music production, and Hozumi Goda serves as the sound director, with Nanami Yamawaki as the director of photography.

“I Want to Escape from Princess Lessons”follows the story of Leticia, who has been subjected to a strict princess training program since her engagement to Prince Clarke. Wanting to live a life of her own, Leticia yearns to break off her engagement. Meanwhile, Clarke is infatuated with her and intends to marry her, resulting in a unique romantic tale between the two.
