Essential Echoes for Defeating Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom Bosses

Essential Echoes for Defeating Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom Bosses

These five Echoes in Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom are essential for defeating even the toughest bosses, and you won’t want to overlook them. Here’s how to unlock each one, their abilities, and the energy costs for their use.

In Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, players can summon over 100 Echoes, ranging from ferocious Lynels to adorable slimes. However, only a select few Echoes are truly effective against dungeon bosses.

The most powerful Echoes will ensure you dominate your foes, regardless of their strength. Here’s a breakdown of the best and most overpowered Echoes that every player should utilize during their Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom journey.

Top Echoes

1. Lynel Echo

The Lynel Echo is regarded as the best summon in the game.

  • Energy cost: 6 (5 with energy upgrade)
  • Location: Eternal Forest

The Lynel Echo in Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom boasts the highest damage output of any summon, capable of annihilating most non-boss enemies with a single strike of its massive sword.

Additionally, the Lynel Echo excels in mobility, ensuring that enemies cannot escape damage. Its substantial health pool allows it to absorb numerous attacks, making it a perfect choice for players struggling with difficult bosses.

Note that unlocking the Lynel requires a few extra steps.

2. Sword Moblin Lv. 3 Echo

The Sword Moblin Lv. 3 can effectively block incoming attacks.

  • Energy cost: 5 (4 with energy upgrade)
  • Location: Eternal Forest

Next is the Sword Moblin Lv. 3, a sturdy blue warrior wielding a massive cleaver and a robust shield. Unlike most other Echoes, this Sword Moblin can block attacks, making it an excellent distraction during challenging encounters.

I’ve found the Sword Moblin particularly helpful during boss battles, especially against ranged opponents. Just be cautious to position it close to enemies, as it lacks speed.

3. Fire Wizzrobe/Ice Wizzrobe/Electric Wizzrobe Echoes

Wizzrobes are the premier ranged units in the game.

  • Energy cost: 5 (4 with energy upgrade)
  • Locations: Faron Wetlands, Eldin Volcano, Hebra Mountain

In Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, the three types of Wizzrobes stand out as the most effective ranged Echoes. Each Wizzrobe wields elemental attacks that can exploit bosses’ fire, ice, and electric vulnerabilities.

Since all three Wizzrobes operate similarly, they will bombard enemies with elemental energy before teleporting away. I advise quickly summoning multiple Wizzrobes to minimize the downtime from their teleportation animations.

4. Peahat Echo

Nintendo

The Peahat can be unlocked early in the game if you have sufficient energy.

  • Energy cost: 3 (2 with energy upgrade)
  • Location: Faron Wetlands

Dubbed the Beyblade of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, the Peahat may not seem impressive but can effectively eliminate waves of lower-level foes.

Upon summoning, the Peahat will twirl its spiky roots, attacking all nearby adversaries. Head to the Faron Wetlands early on to acquire this Echo, and remember that it is weak to fire, so be careful if flames are present in the vicinity.

5. Chompfin Echo

Nintendo

Swimming is much safer with two Chompfins by your side.

  • Energy cost: 4 (3 with energy upgrade)
  • Location: Zora Cove

Even with a lower energy requirement than the high-damage Lizalfos Lv. 3, the Chompfin is the ultimate aquatic Echo, as it outpaces its scaled counterpart.

Once placed in water, the Chompfin targets the nearest enemy and attacks aggressively. Its lower energy cost allows you to summon two simultaneously, especially if you’ve fully upgraded your energy capacity.
